Short bio:
My research lies at the intersection of cognitively inspired approaches and foundational artificial intelligence.
By incorporating principles from cognitive science I aim to develop intelligent, generalist embodied systems capable of open-ended learning, with the ultimate goal of advancing artificial general intelligence.
As a PhD student at UNSW my current focus is on reinforcement learning with world models and intrinsic motivation.
I hold a master of science degree in physics from Goethe University Frankfurt, where I worked with professor Jochen Triesch on deep recurrent neural networks and self-supervised learning methods.
Before joining the Triesch Lab, I obtained a bachelor of science degree under the supervision of professor Joachim Curtius at the Institute of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences.
